| History of the Bank |
As a local community bank, our roots go deep into the county. The bank was formed in
Dundee, KY in 1922 with the first annual report reflecting assets of $52,040.97.
Obvious changes over the years include our name, facilities and personnel. We're proud that local friends and neighbors still comprise our stockholders and staff. Our interests are the same as yours; available jobs, decent housing, good schools and an infrastructure that supports an enjoyable standard of living. Our customers have entrusted us with assets now totaling over $72 million which are reinvested in ways that recycle and create prosperity in the community. A new home or home improvement loan, for example, leads to jobs for builders, electricians, suppliers, plumbers, landscapers, etc. Deposits reinvested in new and expanded business loans create jobs which generate payroll to be recycled in everyday living expenses such as housing, transportation, utilities, and taxes for schools, libraries and on and on.
The officers and staff of the Bank of Ohio County thank our customers for the opportunities of the past and remain committed to the philosophy that when neighbors help neighbors, all benefit. We're dedicated to serving the financial needs of businesses and individuals as we look forward to remaining a vital link in the continued growth of our area!
